HOA 101 for Real Estate Agents
Course Description
This course explores the history and rapid growth of homeowners’ associations (HOAs) in Texas and throughout the U.S.
We’ll talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly, focusing on Texas Property Codes 202, 204, and 209. We’ll also cover reforms to HOAs passed in the 87th Texas Legislative session, contract pitfalls to avoid, and ways to benefit your clients on either side of the transaction. We will zoom in on SB 1588, TXR 1405 (Request for info from an Owner’s Association), TXR 1922 (Addendum for Property Subject to Mandatory Member in Owner’s Association), TXR 1923 (Subdivision Information), and how they are reflected on the 1-4 contract.
